Unpopular Opinions Book Tag

Hey lovely readers! Just a fun tag post! Enjoy!

1. A popular book you didn’t like

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

I know I know, what is wrong with me? But honestly by the time I read this book it had been hyped SO much! And so maybe my expectations were too high. But I just could not get into this book. I really like the story, but the writing I just couldn’t. It was confusing and too disjointed for me. So sorry!

  2. A book series that everyone hates but you love.

The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer

I first started reading these books in 2009 (I was 17). So by then the entire series was released and yet I had never heard of them! Maybe that helps with me loving them, because I had no expectations or anything. These books aren’t the best books out there and sometimes they make me cringe. But they are the books I turn to when I’m feeling bad and I just want to relax ❤ I feel like they are the epitome of YA cliches, but sometimes that’s just what you need!

 3. A love triangle where the MC ends up with the person you didn’t want them to end up with.

Jem/Tessa/Will – The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

Okay let me just start by saying that I absolutely adore TID. It is my favorite series of the three within this universe. And Tessa is one of my  favorite YA female heroines. But I really did not like how things went down between these three, because there really was no choice! And that’s all I’ll say in case some of you have not read the trilogy yet. Which you absolutely should!

 4. A popular genre you rarely reach for.

Science fiction.

It just doesn’t really interest me. I can never get into the stories.

 5. A popular character you didn’t like.

Vicious – Vicious; Sinners of Saint #1 by L. J. Shen

I have seen so many people saying he is one of the best book boys ever. Umm NO! He is an asshole, manipulative, and borderline verbally abusive. The way he treats the people around him is disgusting, and I was so disappointed in this author for writing a character like him.

 6. A popular author you can’t seem to get into.

Jennifer L. Armentrout

I’ve tried to read several of her books, but I never make it very far. Idk what it is but her writing never captures my attention. I am trying to rectify this though!

 7. A popular trope you’re tired of seeing.

The jackass gets the sweet, innocent girl

Idk if this is technically a trope, but it pisses me off so much! Being a jerk is not attractive and it does not guarantee a person’s affections. This needs to not be a thing. I see it pretty often in New Adult  and Contemporary Romances. (See #5)

8. A popular series you have no interest in reading.

The Illuminae Files Series by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

The way it’s written just does not sound appealing to me at all. But hey please let me know your opinion! You may change my mind.

 9. The saying goes “the book is always better than the movie” but what movie do you prefer to the book?

Water for Elephants

I do really like this book, but I always enjoy the movie a lot more. Mostly because I love seeing Rosie the elephant in action on screen! She’s so awesome!

That’s it guys! I’ll be tagging some fellow bloggers on twitter. So be sure to check there posts out as well!

Talk to you soon! ❤ Adrianna

My name is Adrianna. I’m a 27 year old wife, mommy, book lover, and librarian. I have a deep love for books and an unhealthy obsession with iced tea! I can quote almost any Disney movie, Belle is my favorite Disney princess, and I live for Harry Potter! I enjoy reading New Adult Romance above anything else. I have one beautiful baby boy named Jace and 5 cats and 1 dog who are basically my world (along with hubby of course)! And when I’m not reading I enjoy writing, puzzling, trivia, and long walks with the hubs, baby boy, and dog! Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy! ❤ Adrianna
