Hey lovely readers!
Today’s post is a book review of Love Beyond Opposites (Grad Night #3) by Molly E. Lee.
A huge thank you too Entangled Publishing for sending me an e-arc of this! Okay lets get to the review!
“If high school has taught mathlete Jade Aaron anything, it’s that nerds never get the guy.
So when rock star Lennon Pryor starts pursuing her, It’s not rocket science. This doesn’t add up.
I mean, sure, he’s hot. And charming. And a god on the guitar…
But he’s also the world’s biggest player. Being with him would be a bigger mistake than 2+2=5.
Until graduation night, when a reckless moment leads to a reckless kiss. And now Jade’s falling for the one guy destined to break her heart.”
This book was just so fun and light and cute! Just the kind of read I needed after finishing school! Apparently this is the third in the Grad Night series, but I haven’t read the first 2 and you definitely don’t need to. Though I’m definitely going to! So basically Jade and Lennon have been kind of friends for 4 years, but have never acted on their feelings. Why? Basically she feels he’ll never want a math-lete like her and he thinks she’s too good for his rock star ways. I thought this was so adorable and typically high school. I mean who didn’t have a crush on someone they thought they could never get in high school? I really liked that most of the story took place in one night, because I totally believe one night can change your life!
I love how both characters had these amazing passions they wanted to follow and I love that they supported each other. The only think I didn’t like was that there wasn’t a lot of character development. Obviously this is tough when the majority of the story takes place in one night. But I would’ve liked it all the same. I also wish the characters relationships with their parents were a little more fleshed out.
But overall a really fun and refreshing read that I think we can all relate to in some way!
Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon! ❤ Adrianna
