Book Review – Delusions by Amy Crandall

Hey lovely readers!

Today’s post is a book review of Delusions by Amy Crandall. Thanks so much to Enticing Book Promotions for providing the e-ARC. All opinions are my own.

Delusions“As she waits to give her statement in one of the interrogation rooms of Arcata Police Department, Abigale recites the same line over and over inside her head.
I did not kill anyone.
I did not kill anyone.
But there’s a trail of bodies, and it leads straight to her. The events that brought her to this very moment all point to one thing . . . her guilt.
She must convince Detective Collins of her innocence, but how can she explain her ties to the victims, and the evidence that has her name written all over it?
Then there’s the mysterious Facebook profile, DarkHeart434.
Who is DarkHeart434? And why does it seem like this person has all the answers, including the identity of the real murderer?
As pieces of the puzzle start to come together, everything about Abigale’s life begins to unravel–her past, her present . . . and even her self-proclaimed innocence.”

So I’m all about them psychological thriller books guys, and this one was awesome. It’s one of those books that has you second guessing everything you think you know. From chapter to chapter my thoughts on what was going on changed. Is Abigale gulity? Is she not? The synopsis had me hooked immediately and I finished the book pretty quickly, because I just had to know how it all ended.

Now I don’t want to give anything away, so let me just tell you all the reasons why I loved this book. It reminded me so much of The Girl on the Train in the sense that Abigale is totally an unreliable narrator which is one of my favorite things to read. You never know if what you’re reading is the truth or if there’s something about the story that you’re missing. Abigale is such a fascinating character, but the whole time I was reading I couldn’t decide if I actually liker her or not.

This book just really sucks you in, because who doesn’t love a good mystery. I was pretty damn shocked by the ending which made me so happy. I loved being surprised by a book, because that doesn’t happen much anymore. I found the author’s writing to be descriptive, which is perfect for a story like this. While at the same time it wasn’t overly descriptive, which I truly hate. The whole story was just so brilliant and I’m excited to see what else the author comes up with! If you enjoy a good mystery, definitely read this one!

Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon! ❤ Adrianna
