One True Pairing – Favorite Fictional Couples

Hey lovely readers!

Here is a list of my all time favorite fictional couples! This list was so hard to make, but I’m pretty happy with my choices, it’s been updated with new videos for some of the couples. Let’s get started! There are 10 total and they are in descending order of how much I love them! #1 is the ultimate OTP ❤

10. Cheryl and Toni – Riverdale

These two ladies are so great together. And they’ve pretty much taken over as Riverdale’s best idea ever! It’s so awesome to see this couple loved and adored by so many. They’re so different and yet they make total sense together. I loved the way things went for them at the end of season 2 and I really hope they last ❤

9. Alex and Jo – Grey’s Anatomy

These two have always amazed me. And with so many amazing Grey’s couples they have always stood out as the best. They understand each other in a way no one else really could. And the fact that they both have been through some serious shit and still bring out the best in the other just touches my heart. They would be just fine on their own, but together they’re just so beautiful. I truly believe they are the most perfectly matched couple! And they finally have their happy ending ❤

8. Eric and Sookie – True Blood

The couple that never really was! I hate that they never got to really be together, but I love them because they always cared for each other no matter what was happening. They’ve both saved each other on several occasions and they never really stopped caring. The thing about these two is that there has ALWAYS been something between them. And despite Erik being an ass and Sookie being caught up with other guys they’ve always fully accepted the other for who they are. Erik loves both sides of Sookie, the sweet southern girl and the sass. And Sookie loves Erik’s harsher side as well as his sweeter side. I’ll forever wish things had been different for them. They walk away from each other because they know it’ll never be right and that is true love ❤

7. Kylo Ren and Rey – Star Wars

The couple who has yet to officially happen and maybe never will. But they are just everything, They are the other half of each other, the perfect balance. They need each other in a way that’s not exactly typical and I don’t think them being together would ever be easy. But I think it would absolutely be worth it. If you’re interested I wrote a post all about Kylo Ren here.

6. Cappie and Casey – Greek

Ugh these two just captured my heart! And I didn’t actually start watching Greek until a few years ago. I don’t think there’s a couple on this list more opposite than these two, but somehow they work. Cappie is unfocused, a bit immature, and kind of a slacker. Casey is the exact opposite and yet they love each other with everything they have. They never quite let each other go, because they have something pretty special. I also love how Casey never accepts Cappie’s bare minimum, because she knows he can be so much more. Just swoon!

5. Bellamy and Clarke – The 100

Another couple that has yet to be and probably never will be. But I will go down with this ship haha. Okay so I only got into The 100 pretty recently. And literally from episode one I was all about #Bellarke, come to find out 5 seasons in that they are still not a thing! I don’t care what anyone says, these two are meant to be even if it never happens. They hold each other up, they make each other better, they’re perfect. I think this video says it all.

4. Jamie and Claire – Outlander

Both in the books and on the show these two are amazing together. They never quite seem to have peace and they have been through so many terrible things, but their love never fails. Even through space and time they always have each other, even if only in their hearts. They were never supposed to fall in love and yet their love has spanned decades. And when they find each other again it’s almost as if no time has passed. I don’t know a fictional couple more devoted than these two.

3. Rhysand and Feyre – A Court of Thorns and Roses Series

Don’t even get me started on these two! Like I will fight anyone who tells me that they aren’t freaking perfect. And if you know me at all you know how much I adore Rhysand, so there’s that. Basically what I love about these two together is how they understand each other’s pain. They are always the ones to bear the brunt of things, they always want to take care of everyone else and fix everything. So it makes sense that they are meant to be, because they can bear this burden together. They compliment each other, they are equals in every way. Plus I absolutely love that they fully accept one another. They let each other know that it’s okay to be who they are, they don’t have to hide. And that’s an extraordinary thing. Their love is completely unconditional. And as a bonus they are both incredibly fierce, but also unfailingly kind and fair. They’re absolutely stunning together.

2. Adrian and Sydney – Bloodlines Series

So this list has a mix of TV and book fictional couples, but as far as book couples these two are my number one. And if you follow me on Twitter or read my blog posts you know how much I love them, Adrian especially ❤ I actually did a series review of Bloodlines (I’ve read the series at least 10 times lol) and you can find that here if you’re interested. It talks a bit about my love for Adrian and Sydney. But here’s why I love them so much. They fall in love with each other’s souls, I mean truly. There are so many reasons why they shouldn’t or can’t be together, and yet that is exactly what happens. They never try to change each other, they only try to show the other the best parts of themselves. They can see who the other could be, what’s inside them already. I also love that they work hard at their relationship, it’s not all sunshine and roses and I appreciate the reality of that. I love how they are so well matched intellectually and creatively yet it manifests itself in different ways. I love how they risk so much to be together and there’s never any resentment there. And I honestly think the ending they got was perfect for them.

1.Damon and Elena – The Vampire Diaries

Where to even start? These two are my ultimate one true pairing. They are so in love that sometimes it hurts. I think the reason why I love them so much is because their love is so pure. It’s not easy, but it’s wild and passionate yet calming and so reverent. They love each other for all of the good and bad. And even when it seems like they won’t make it they manage to remember who they are together. Elena tempers Damon, she focuses him, she shows him how to love himself, how to be apart of this world. And Damon, all he wants is for Elena to be happy, even if that means not being with her. He shows her that it’s okay to be exactly who she is. They make each other stronger, not better and I love that. They let go of each other for the good of others, which is what makes their eventual happily ever after that much sweeter. Seriously if you haven’t watched TVD yet you need to. I dare you not to love Delena ❤

That’s it, my top 10 favorite fictional couples! And I have something extra to go along with this post. I created a Spotify playlist of all the songs featured in the videos. They’re all some of my favorites.

Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon! ❤ Adrianna
