Hey lovely readers!
Haven’t done this in awhile! Here are 5 great rock star romances!
A Beautiful Melody (Beautiful #3) by Lilliana Anderson
“Naomi thought she’d met someone wonderful when Elliot came into her life, but he simply wasn’t into her. It’s the story of her life.
While everyone around her is settling down, she gives up on trying to find her Mr Right, and turns back to the one thing she has always loved – music.
Enter Marcus, he was a year above Naomi at school and she always had a killer crush on him. He now fronts a band with his older brother Theo.
Marcus has the reputation of a playboy and Theo, well… he’s just bad news. But their band is doing well and Naomi has the chance to join.
After spending some time in their company, Naomi see’s something in each of them she can’t ignore. She wonders if joining the band was perhaps a bad idea – you should never mix business with pleasure. Especially when that pleasure could divide families…”
So this book is about a girl who joins a band and ends up coming between two brothers! Omg I know so dramatic hahaha. I really love this book! It’s my favorite in the whole series, because I love my bad boy rock stars. Basically the three main characters new each other in high school and both guys liked the girl but never told her. It has a really good twist in it as well! And there are some awesome music writing scenes and concerts with the whole band! And for the record #TeamTheo 🙂
A Beautiful Rock (Beautiful #4) by Lilliana Anderson
“After the video of his public outburst catapulted him to superstardom, Marcus now has everything he ever wanted. Or so he thought. Be careful what you wish for, his mother always told him…
After spending two years touring the globe, he’s growing tired, and that endless line of women has become a sea of blurry and meaningless faces. When he returns home and receives a visit from Naomi, his previous object of affection, he finally starts to look at himself and what he’s become. He doesn’t like it.
Something has to change…
On the surface, Lisa is a pretty simple girl. She goes to work, spends time with her friends, and adores her dog, Perry. She loves the quiet life and isn’t interested in the bright lights of Marcus’s world. So when he takes an interest in her, she makes it very clear that she doesn’t want what he’s offering. You see, Lisa has secrets, and being seen with Marcus will be the key to her undoing. Being a man used to getting what he wants, Marcus won’t be taking no for an answer. For the first time, he has met someone who he feels a definite connection with, and he won’t be taking no for an answer – even if it means inadvertently ruining everything Lisa has worked so hard to conceal…
Will Marcus and Lisa find a way to deal with her secrets and be together? Or will she push him away, ensuring Marcus is destined to always have his affections unreturned?”
And this one is the next in the Beautiful series! It focuses on the rock star brother who didn’t get the girl! I absolutely love Lisa. She is one of my favorite book heroines of all time. I love that she never takes any crap that Marcus throws at her. And I love how she helps Marcus really find himself. You also get a fun look at the entertainment industry in this one!
Midnight Blue By L.J. Shen
“It should have been easy.
I needed the money. He needed a babysitter to keep him from snorting himself to death.
I was cherry-picked especially for him. Responsible. Optimistic. Warm. Innocent.
The worst part is that I should have known better.
Alex Winslow. British rock star. Serial heartbreaker. Casanova with whiskey eyes.
“Don’t get near the devil in a leather jacket. He’ll chew you up and spit you out.”
Guess what? I didn’t listen. I signed the contract. World tour. Three months. Four Continents. One hundred shows. My name is Indigo Bellamy, and I sold my soul to a tattooed god. Problem was, my soul wasn’t enough for Alex Winslow. He ended up taking my body, too. Then he took my heart. Then he took my all.”
Alright so this is probably my favorite book on this list! I was fortunate enough to have received an ARC of this and I did write a review. You can find that on my blog if you’re interested! Anyway I just seriously love Alex. He is so lost and struggling and just trying to make it through the day. I found him to be one of the most relate-able male book characters I have ever read about. He’s a total ass, and he doesn’t always have the best reason for it. But he’s trying. I also really loved Indigo, she’s tough and is just trying provide for her family. These two really touched my heart ❤
Last to Know (Willow Creek #1) by Micalea Smeltzer
“He was just a boy.
And I was just a girl.
But if that’s all there was to the story it wouldn’t be very interesting, would it?
Up and coming band Willow Creek is back in their hometown for the summer. For the drummer, Maddox Wade, this summer was meant for writing music and playing gigs. Falling in love was not part of the plan. One look at Emma Burke and those plans cease to matter.
Emma is quiet and guarded. She’s still hurt from her father walking out two years ago. She doesn’t want to trust Maddox, but with his dark hair, smoldering good looks, and infectious smile he’s impossible to resist. Together Maddox and Emma embark on an unforgettable summer of adventures and first love.
Everything is perfect…or so Emma thinks.
There are things she doesn’t know, and when she finds out the truth it might shatter everything she’s built with Maddox.
No one said love was easy, and for Maddox and Emma it just might be impossible.”
I stumbled onto this series completely by accident, but omg I’m so glad that I did. There are four books in the series, each focusing on a different member of the band. So if you’re looking for a rock star series, you’ve found it. It deals with fame and fortune in a really interesting way. And I love that we get inside the heads of each of these amazing guys! ❤ I also love that each of the woman in these books is very independent and knows who she is. This is really a hidden gem series!
Famous by Default by M.K. Harkins
Buried, By my family’s fame.
Dying to escape the limelight, And finally, I do.
Being raised as a Jayne, I’m under constant scrutiny. The rock band my brothers formed makes it impossible to stay under the radar. Paparazzi, tabloids, rabid fans–you name it and I’ve got it. It all makes me sick. But getting shipped off to crazy Aunt Betty’s house in my senior year of high school isn’t any better. After all, there isn’t a stray kid or pet in the world that my aunt wouldn’t take in.
Then I meet her. She’s cautious, suspicious, and not interested in me at all. But that’s fine by me. Sivan Holt may be beautiful and intelligent, but she’s nothing I’m looking for.
Drowning, In my past. Struggling to feel settled. And finally, I do.
Growing up in the foster care system, I longed for a sense of belonging. All I wanted was a place to call home. At the age of seventeen, I’m finally starting to feel it here. Home.
When he comes along, it unsettles me. I don’t want him to ruin everything we’ve built–everything that matters. Jax Jayne is arrogant, privileged, and I want nothing to do with him. But those green eyes of his keep drawing me in. If I let down my walls, will it be my final undoing?”
So this one is a bit of a cheat, but I don’t care because I really loved it! The guy in the book is not a rock star, but his brothers are and he’s famous because of that. He does end up writing a song that becomes popular, so it technically works 😉 But I have to say I loved this book because of the girl in it, Sivan. Her story is one of true triumph and I’m so proud of who she is by the end of the story. I found I could relate to her in so many ways ❤
That’s it lovelies, my 5 favorite rock star book! I hope you find your next favorite read here!
Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon! ❤ Adrianna
