Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag

1. Best book you’ve read so far this year

43204703I feel like it’s impossible to pick just one! But if I HAVE to pick, I’m gonna go with A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer. Because this book represents Cerebral Palsy so weell and as someone with CP I am so proud of it. ❤ You can find my review of this one here.

2. New release you haven’t read yet, but want to

sorcery of thorns.jpg

Oh my goodness so many freaking books come to mind. But the most recent is probably A Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

3. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year

queen of nothing.jpg

Without a doubt, Queen of Nothing by Holly Black. November 2019, that’s all I’m saying!

4. Biggest disappointment

defy me

Ugh has to be Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi. That book was such a mess, I should have seen it coming because Restore Me was so frustrating. Seriously I could not deal with Warner, my sweet baby angel, getting treated so badly. 😦

5. Biggest surprise

Hades Hangmen

Hades Hangmen Series by Tillie Cole. I just discovered this series earlier this year and I binged all 7 books in about a week. If you like MC romances with dark elements this is the perfect series for you. It blew my mind! Find my full series review here.

6. Favorite new author

Definitely KA Tucker! After reading The Simple Wild last year, I fell completely in love. Now I’m determined to read and own all of her books!

7. Book that made you cry

Souls Unfractured

Souls Unfractured by Tillie Cole. Flame and Maddie’s story was one of the most heartbreaking I have ever read. Flame especially, the things that he went through were so dark and disturbing. But things like that do happen and it’s important to recognize that no matter how painful it might be.

8. Book that made you happy

The Wicked King by Holly Black just had me smiling so big! Yes there was so much that happened, not all of it good. But in the end I felt my Cardan/Jude shipping was validated so hard in this book. I don’t care what anyone says, those two belong together and I will go down with my ship! *See Bellarke and Reylo ❤ ;)*

9. Favorite review you’ve written

Oh man, that’s tough! But I have to go with my most recent, because I put my whole heart into that one. Heartache and Hope by Jay McLean is a truly beautiful book and you should read it immediately! Find my review here.

10. Most beautiful book you’ve bought so far this year (or received)

I was so fortunate to receive a physical ARC of KA Tucker’s newest book, Say You Still Love Me. Massive thanks to Atria Books for gifting it to me! Isn’t it beautiful? ❤

11. What books do you need to read by the end of the year?

Umm I really don’t like this question, because I don’t NEED to read anything. I read because I want to not because I have to. So nope, not answering that one!

12. Favorite book community member

Just one? Again, nope sorry. My favorite book community memberS are all of my amazing book blogger friends!

Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon! ❤ Adrianna

My name is Adrianna. I’m a 27 year old wife, mommy, book lover, and librarian. I have a deep love for books and an unhealthy obsession with iced tea! I can quote almost any Disney movie, Belle is my favorite Disney princess, and I live for Harry Potter! I enjoy reading New Adult Romance above anything else. I have one beautiful baby boy named Jace and 5 cats and 1 dog who are basically my world (along with hubby of course)! And when I’m not reading I enjoy writing, puzzling, trivia, and long walks with the hubs, baby boy, and dog! Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy! ❤ Adrianna
