Book Review – Twisted Betrayal (Rydeville High Elite #2) by Siobhan Davis

Hey lovely readers!

Here’s a book review for you!

Thanks so much to Siobhan Davis for the ARC, my opinions are my own.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.

Twisted Betrayal“He thinks he’s broken me. That I’m finally under his complete control. But I’m biding my time, gathering intel, making plans, and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. So, when an unexpected savior appears—offering me a way out—I grasp it with both hands.

But the man I love refuses to let me go, and he’s hell-bent on protecting me at all costs. Except he’s far too late.
Kaiden’s betrayal fuels the anger flowing through my veins, and now our roles are reversed—I’m the hunter, and he’s my prey. I enjoy torturing him, lying to him, and letting him believe in false truths that were never our reality.

Until the stakes are raised, and I’m forced into playing their game again. Only this time, it’s not just my life hanging in the balance. I thought he’d done his worst. That he didn’t have the power to hurt me anymore. But I was wrong. His depravity knows no bounds, and now, he’s taken everything from me.
This time, it means war, and I’m taking no prisoners.”

Siobhan Davis is a genius and this book was amazing. A dark, twisted, sexy romance that’s perfect for those of us that love a story full of angst. I think this book was the perfect mix of inevitability and shock.. From the very beginning it’s pretty clear that Abbi and Kai are made for each other and yet this book had me questioning if they would ever make it out alive. And truthfully I’m still not sure what the heck is going to happen. That’s the beauty of Siobhan, just when you think you’re on solid ground, the rug is pulled out from under you. Basically, expect the unexpected.

Abbi is seriously the most bad-ass book heroine I’ve ever encountered. She has suffered at the hands of basically every man in her life, everyone she believes she can trust ends up betraying her in some way. And yet she has the amazing capacity to either forgive or put the issue aside in favor of more important things. This girl always gets back up and I can only hope that after the ending of this book she comes out the other side with her heart still intact.

Enter Kai, the alpha asshole that we all love to hate. Going into Twisted Betrayal I really wasn’t sure of my feelings for this guy. But I can say now, without spoiling anything, that I 100% know where he stands. I really couldn’t believe some of the crazy things I read in this book. I can’t tell you how many times my jaw dropped. And the sex scenes? Well, let’s just say I definitely needed to cool down after each one, because damn. They fit so perfectly with the characters and their story.  And finally, I just have to touch on the villain of this story. He’s probably the most disgusting, depraved, and supremely awful fictional character ever to be put on paper and that’s all I’ll say about that.

At the end of it all I was shocked, speechless, and truly stunned. This book was brilliant in every single way and I can’t wait to get my hands on book three. Grab this one on release day immediately (Aug. 20) and if you’ve yet to start this series, what the heck are you waiting for? Go grab Cruel Intentions right now! You can thank me later 😉

Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon! ❤ Adrianna
