My 10 Most Anticipated Reads
Angry God (All Saints High #3) by L.J. Shen
Expected publication date: February 18, 2020
L.J. is the queen of building anticipation and it feels like I’ve been waiting forever for this! Book 3 in the series and easily the most wanted. Lookout world, because here comes Vaughn. And if he’s anything like his father, he came to play!
Wild At Heart (Wild #2) by K.A. Tucker
Expected publication date: March 3, 2020
Is anyone surprised by this? Anyone at all. I remind you all on a weekly basis to read The Simple Wild and the sequel is almost here! K.A. Tucker writes beautiful, powerful, and poignant stories. Wild At Heart continues the amazing story that begun in the Alaskan wild and I cannot wait.
Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel
Expected publication date: March 17, 2020
The story of a daughter who spent her life believing she was sick. Her own mother concocting the lie to keep her under control. Her mother went to prison, but now she’s home and Rose Gold wants revenge. I mean come on, this sounds amazing!
Boyfriend Material (Hawthorne University #2) by Ilsa Madden-Mills
Expected publication date: June 2020
I absolutely loved Boyfriend Bargain. It’s one of my favorite fake boyfriend books! I cannot wait for book two in the series.
Burn Our Bodies Down by Rory Power
Expected publication date: July 7, 2020
I happened to see this on Goodreads and the cover caught my eye. The synopsis had me hooked and now I’m so looking forward to this! A mystery town that is not what it seems. And a girl looking for a family. Yes please!
The Hunter and the Prey (BB #1) by L.J. Shen
Expected publication date: Likely mid 2020
Another one from L.J. because she’s amazing. A brand new series featuring bad boys from Boston. Sign me the heck up.
Nightfall (Devil’s Night #4) by Penelope Douglas
Expected publication date: hopefully late 2020! (Pen has said she hopes to publish it this year, so fingers crossed).
Devil’s Night is an amazing series! And now we’ll finally get Will and Emory’s story. If you haven’t started this series yet, you need to pick it up now!
Chain of Gold (The Last Hours #1) by Cassandra Clare
Expected publication date: March 3, 2020
You guys know I love anything Shadowhunters related. I mean hello, my son’s name is Jace. 😊 I’ve read and loved all of the series in this universe and I’m sure this will be no exception! And look at that beautiful cover.
Jackson (Rydeville Elite #4) by Siobhan Davis
Expected publication date: April 27, 2020
Rydeville High was my favorite trilogy of 2019. It was epic and full of delicious angst. And now we get a story all for Jackson who is an absolute favorite character of mine from the series. I can’t wait to find out his secrets.
The Serpent’s Curse (The Last Magician #3) by Lisa Maxwell
Expected publication date: April 7, 2020
The Last Magician blew my mind. And I fell so in love with Esta. The Devil’s Thief my love for this series and the ever charming Harte. And I know this book will be an epic ending!
Bree’s Most Anticipated Reads
A Heart So Fierce and Broken (Cursebreaksers # 2) by Brigid Kemmerer
Yes No Maybe So by Becky Abertalli and Aisha Saeed
I’ve become such a big fan of Becky Abertalli over the past couple of years and her last collaboration with Adam Silvera (What If It’s Us) was absolutely delightful. I can’t wait to see what Aisha brings to the table! (Also Aisha has written a few books I’ve been dying to read.)
I’m such a sucker for Kasie West novels. They aren’t always immediate wins for me, but I’ll immediately add them to my TBR. I don’t even have to read the synopsis for her books, I just immediately want to read them. This one is no different.
But, like, are we surprised here? I adore Sarah J Maas, she wrote one of my favorite series (A Court of Thorns and Roses) and I can’t wait to see what she’s bringing to the table next.
I have not given up on Sally Thorne just yet. Even though her sophomore novel could, in no way, live up to my love for The Hating Game, I have faith in her unique voice enough to preorder this one!
Christina Lauren can absolutely BRING IT (Autoboyography, The Unhoneymooners, Sweet Filthy Boy) or they can have some kind of “meh” stories. Either way, I’ll read anything they publish because either way, I enjoy reading what they write. Also – THAT COVER THO.
I discovered the True North series in 2019 and absolutely binged these books. It was this series that made me fall in love with Sarina Bowen as a solo author without Elle Kennedy. I can’t wait for this continuation!
To be fair, I have only read the first book in this series, but I adore Sierra Simone and I really liked that first book!
I cannot tell you how obsessively on-the-edge-of-my-seat I am awaiting this freaking series. Reed first made an appearance in my favorite series by Lauren Rowe – the Morgan Brothers series and I’ve been fascinated by this man ever since I read about him in those books. When Lauren announced that he was getting his own freaking trilogy, I was esctatic. I cannot wait to learn more about this intimidating and powerful bachelor (and who will tame his heart.)
ANYTHING THAT MARIANA ZAPATA COMES OUT WITH
This is cheating a little bit, but Mariana usually comes out with at least one book a year. She doesn’t typically announce it until right before the book is dropped, so I don’t know when or what it will be called, all I know is that I’ll be scooping it up as soon as I can!
Bonus – Bree & Adrianna’s pick:
Adrianna: Colleen Hoover? Yes! Paranormal Romance? Yes, yes! I mean does it really get better than that!
2020 is going to be a year of epic reads and we’re so excited!
Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon! ❤ Adrianna
