Hey lovely readers!
Here’s a book review for you! Thanks bunches to the author for giving me an e-arc of this awesome book. Again, very big thoughts and feelings about this one.
“Some villains are made.
Some villains are born.
And some villains aren’t villains at all.
Nate DeLuca was born into a life he didn’t want.
Forced to walk a path that was already chosen for him.
Grandson to a mob boss, he’s forever torn between his duty, his honor, his legacy, and the truth.
But the truth is never simple, and it’s not at all what it seems.
In a world full of secrets, heartache, and betrayals, Nate only has one thing on his mind: redemption.
But with redemption comes destruction.
And that destruction might cost him his heart.
Three Lives. Two Loves.
One ticking time bomb. Tick tock.”
Oh my goodness. So much to process here. Because a lot went down in this book. And I’m going to try and avoid spoilers!
Sooo we get answers. We get all the answers, things from the first book are finally being made clear. I mean seriously, twists and turns every freaking where. Literally every single chapter I was freaking out at all the secrets that came out. It was amazing. The detail and intricacies that went into this plot blew my mind.
We get Nate, we get Bailey, and we even get a little Kyler. I’ll be completely honest again and say that I didn’t really care much about the romance aspect of this book. I was much more invested in the mystery of it all. How all the pieces fit together. As far as the romances, they definitely added drama and suspense. But to me, the circumstances that created them made them feel less genuine. Though that’s not a bad thing to me. 😊
This book was just everything. It was so good. The only thing that I didn’t love was the ending. I genuinely felt that Bailey finding someone new would have been awesome. But that’s just me! Otherwise it was perfect.
Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon! ❤ Adrianna
